How do I reset my computer to print using a HP Photosmart 8150 printer?

After my computer crashed and was repaired, when I got it back, despite it being properly connected, to the printer I have, it won't print.

Each time I try to print something, a screen comes up that identifies another printer, different than the one I have.
If that is the reason its not working, how do I change it back to print form the HP Photosmart 8150 printer that is connected?

First of all unplug your printer from the computer. Then look into your printer folder and see how many other printers you might have connected. You do that by Start--Control Panel--Hardware--Printers. Then delete any printer you do NOT want to use. Then use your printer cd and follow the instructions to install the printer you want to use. That should take care of it. It sounds like you have more than one printer connected to your computer.

Make your printer the default printer

BUT.. before you install the software make sure you removed the usb cable from the back of the printer and then install the software.

In case you already have a printer icon under printers and faxes and still you can't print. Please download this utility from the hp website.
