Go to store and find the gun for you. Fill out the firearms sheet. The clerk will call the FBI for a background check, usually it takes about 10 minutes. If you don't have anything on your record, then pay for your gun and you are done

What kds11860 said. There is no waiting period other than the 10-15 minute phone call. You DO NOT have to have a permit/chl before you buy it. My uncle purchased two(2) Smith & Wesson .44magnums and ammo in the same day and was out the door in 15minutes. My 357 took 10min and my shotgun took 20min

Pick out the handgun. Fill out the questionnaire. Submit to a background check (10 to 20 minutes) or present your concealed-carry license. If you check out okay, pay the asking price of the handgun.
